Bundesliga or Russia which I'm messing with now might be about 500 players. I think I had to replace like 800 players to get this working on FM20. Actually I lied, there's that "retired players" group that has to end before brand new IDs begin, though I forget if they get pruned or not
But once it gets into the brand new IDs (the long ones starting with 1915. Not fun! Obviously sort by ID, not alphabetically. Step 3: cross-reference DB against DB loaded in previous year's editor, make a list of who's missing in notepad or something. Like I do not care who's in the Calcio Excellenza U19 C or whatever those things were called. Only funny/annoying part is how they force you to wrangle with the youth leagues in some countries, too. Step 2: fix the leagues so they run, since every year teams get promoted+relegated and it messes with your tables. Step 1: delete brand new players (player entries with 0 changes) - easy, just takes a long time to process The only problem with importing, or like 95% of the problem, is replacing the players that get deleted by SI in the yearly database switchover. My very scientific technique was just looking for players who were gold cards on Futhead one year (15? 16?)įace pack (think it's up to like 4000 extra images now?): Gareth Bale's birthday (mid-July 1989) is around the cutoff because if you make a player younger than 14, he just won't ever show up in the game. You've got Enzo Perez! You've got Caner Erkin! Uh, Guram Kashia and Ola Toivonen! Mkhitaryan, Witsel and Matic are the biggest stars but really Madscientist was very comprehensive with the original DB, so many of these kinds of players were already in the game.
Everyone is 16 years younger in this than they really are. Mostly like current-day 30-35 year olds, so 14-19ish in the game with a couple exceptions on the high side.

Changes to first season CL seeding were made by Carlito85 from this threadĪnother typical update with young players, trying to do what I could to stem the dreaded Regen Tide a little. Obviously I guess you could say I should have made it 100% perfect the first time but like there's so much stuff to checkĪnyway, here's another one. So people are playing on old files with janky CL seeding, players like Schweinsteiger disappearing because of retirement dates, Casillas's heart issue being a weird hardcoded year-long ban I couldn't get rid of without deleting him and making a clone Casillas etc.
Every other time, it's published a new file and taken away my ability to update (the little arrow on the left).
I think I was able to update the same file once or twice. This is just me whining but how do people post updates/patches to their own files on Steam Workshop? Do they just.never do that? Is anyone who does a computing mastermind? I'd love to get someone from SI in here because in a process that includes mindlessly punching in tons of data, making the scripts for the picture packs, and waiting a half hour for things to load, Steam Workshop is like by far the worst part lmao.
